What we collect & why

• Vehicle details you enter in our valuation tool (model, year, mileage, condition, province) are stored anonymously to improve our market estimates. On their own these do not identify you.
• Email for things you ask us to send. If you ask us to email you something (for example a valuation result or certificate), we collect your email address for that sole purpose, and only with your consent.
• Listing & enquiry details. If you submit a vehicle or contact us, we collect the name, email and phone number you provide so we can respond and manage your listing.
• Basic analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track you across other websites.

Lawful basis

We process your email for anything we send you on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. We process listing and enquiry details to take steps you have asked us to take.

How we use it — and how we don't

We use your information only for the purpose you gave it to us. We do not sell your personal information, and we will not use your email for marketing unless you separately opt in. We share information with third parties only where needed to provide the service you requested (for example, our email delivery provider).

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to its processing or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email info@jimnysa.co.za and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
